GiPStech, an Italian company developing advanced solutions for indoor positioning and navigation, has raised €200,000 in its first round of angel investment.
The company has created a proprietary indoor localization technology that combines geomagnetic and inertial algorithms to deliver exceptional accuracy — with an average precision of 1 meter (3 feet).
Unlike traditional indoor tracking systems, GiPStech’s solution leverages the natural anomalies of the Earth’s geomagnetic field present in every indoor environment as a guiding signal. This unique approach enables indoor navigation using a signal that is free, stable, and infrastructure-independent.
The funding round was led by a group of members from Italian Angels for Growth (IAG), including investor Massimo Vanzi.
GiPStech plans to use the capital to finalize platform development and launch pilot deployments with early adopters across various industries interested in cutting-edge indoor positioning technologies.
